Calderwood lake bisects Tennessee and North Carolina, the two states have a reciprocal agreement that anglers, when fishing from a boat with either state’s fishing license they be equally honored -this does not include bank fishing. See TWRA Website

“Sportfishing licenses from either state are recognized in all of Calderwood Reservoir while fishing from a boat and in that portion of Slickrock Creek which constitutes the boundary between the two states. (See Trout Regulations on Cherokee Wildlife Management Area for trout regulations on Calderwood Reservoir and Slickrock Creek.)”
